Your journey will begins with a breathtaking drive up between the peaks and then through the astounding Tizi n'tichka Pass, over two and a quarter kilometres above sea-level, along twisting, turning mountain roads, dotted with picturesque Berber mountain villages and crystal clear waterfalls, will be stopping by Kasbah Talouet to discover this amazing historical site which was occupied by the Pasha Glaoui during the colonisation area,you will arrive to Ouarzazate where you can take a pleasant stroll to examine the traditional Moroccan architecture that comprises the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah,the largest in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage Site with very impressive walls. It's a timeless, ancient place used as the backdrop to more than twenty Hollywood films including Lawrence of Arabia, Indiana Jones and Gladiator. This central area of the country is vibrant and exciting and surely one of the most romantic regions in Morocco, huddled between fertile green river valleys with their extensive palmeries and burnished mud-brick houses burning under the blazing Moroccan sun in dazzling colours beneath an azure sky. Our travel continues along what is known as the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs passing the Skoura oasis. Then we continue to visit the Valley of the Roses (Kelaa M'Gouna) the center of Moroccan roses and rose products. Acres of Persian roses are grown and harvested here to create rose water (The name of this rare rose is "Damaskina"), creams and soaps prized throughout Morocco and the world. We continue passing the Mgouna valley and we will arrive to Dades Gorge carved by centuries by the Dades River. The natural scenery of red and mauve rocks tower above the road. Overnight in Dades Gorge or Mgoun Gorges, dinner & breakfast are included - You will have private room, with private bath, hot water, and most delicious food in the area. Besides you will enjoy the Music played by the locals with thier hand made drums.
Dades Gorge – Tinghir- Todra Gorge – Tinjdad- Erfoud- Merzouga – Erg Chebbi
today we depart from Dades Gorge after a leisurely breakfast and travel to another spectacular gorge Todra (the highest oasis in Morocco). The gorge is cut into the ochre-colored cliffs of the High Atlas. Its walls are 300 meters high and at their most narrow part are 20 meters apart. Then we depart Todra Gorge for Merzouga the doorway into the desert where your guide and camels will be waiting for you to carry you across the sandy dunes of the Moroccan Sahara. You wil experience the adventurous Camel trek & witness the sun set across the desert landscape, for approximately 1 to 2 hours to reach you Morocco Luxury desert camp for the night. Your guide will prepare for you refreshing mint tea and dinner. Romantic night full of stars with berber music. Overnight in a Nomad desert Tent, dinner & breakfast.
Erg Chebbi-Merzouga sightseeing tour- Rissani- Khamlia village- Merzouga.
Early Morning wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, possibly the best moment of the Merzouga desert. Today you will explore the desert region and the marvelous Erg Chebbi desert dunes. Depending on time, we MIGHT drive to the lake with Flamingos near Merzouga. You will have the opportunity to see the the nomad's way of life and the amazing changing contrasts of the desert. You will visit the village of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians. You will have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in the ancient capital of Rissani. In the afternoon we will drive to your hotel where you will have a traditional dinner, drink delicious mint tea. while enjoy the music played by the Nomads. Our desert tours are stressless and are done with ease and relax.
Erg Chebbi – Merzouga –Midelt- Azrou- Ifrane -Fes
After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel site. You will have time to have shower then we will trek back to Merzouga village leaving the desert behind, we’ll drive into the palms tree oasis called Ziz Valley which is considered the biggest valley in the southern of Morocco and is dotted with thousands of palm trees. From here we start climbing the Middle Atlas route with a lunch stop in Midelt the capital of Appels in Morocco. As we start approaching Fez we start seeing the cedar forest of Azrou, passing Ifrane town the "Moroccan Switzerland "and the second cleanest city in the world. It's also known for skiing. Late afternoon arrival to Fes and drop off at your hotel/riad. Expected arrival around 6pm.
