Day 01
Fes - Ifrane- Midelt- Erfoud- Merzouga- Erg Chebbi
Today you will be greeted by our driver swing by to pick you up from your accomodation in Fes at 8:00 am to start your Desert Trip From Fes . You will head towards the Middle Atlas Mountains to reach the “Switzerland” of Morocco. It is considered to be snowboarding/ skiing destination in winter. Then wind your way through the beautiful forests of Cedar in Azrou with a colony of monkeys that will keep you amused, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains. Afterwards, you will descend towards Midelt which is situated between the High Atlas Mountains and the Middle Atlas. After lunch, we drive along the stunning Ziz valley passing by Kasbahs and palm groves. You will reach Merzouga around 5 pm. Then drop you off at your accommodation. Overnight in Hotel with dinner and breakfast.
Day 02
Erg Chebbi- Rissani- Todgha Gorge
After breakfast, camel trek once again to the hotel for a shower. We leave the Sahara desert rises of Erg Chebbi, a rough terrain drive over the hamada (black Desert) to get to the Sahara town of Rissani. Subsequently, we head north to Erfoud that is known for the fossils; here we can stop to visit a fossil workshop before we proceed to the amazing Todra valley, known for rock climbing, where you can walk before we drive to the Hotel, Dinner and overnight.
Day 03
Todra Gorge- Dades Valley- Skoura- Ouarzazate
Breakfast at the hotel, then drive along the road of thousand Kasbahs, since there are colossal kasbahs on both sides of the street. Some of the aforementioned old strengthened houses are restored however sadly a considerable measure of them are vestiges. We pass through Dades valley and continue off road to the rocky region , where numerous Berber villages and many nomads living in caverns, here we will have the opportunity to visit one of this families and investigate their day life and their fundamental movement “Looking after groups of goats & chirp”. We will be astounded by the scenes of the brilliant roses valley before we achieve Skoura palm groves. 45km further, we achieve Ouarzazate for the night in a local hotel .
Day 04
Ouarzazate- Ait Benhaddou- Telouat- Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
After breakfast, we will start our trip by a visit of cinema studios found in Ouarzazate which is regarded as Hollywood of Africa. Subsequently we will visit the all inclusive Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah as it has been named by Unesco in 1987. Ait Benhaddou is the World Heritage site that has been utilized as a setting for more than 20 movies incorporating “Gladiator” “Indiana Jones” and “Lawrence of Arabia”. Revel in a stroll to investigate the universal Moroccan style of construction modeling in which the Kasbahs are constructed. We proceed our approach to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’tichka pass. Yet, we will visit the Kasbah of Telouet which was occupied by the Pacha Glaoui during his reign and is frequented by Moroccan travellers. It was built in the 18th and 19th centuries and sits in the village of Telouet nestled outside the Onilla Valley. The Harem and reception hall areas give one a good idea of the former luxury in which El Glaoui lived, as well as a look at the Andalusian style of decorating. However, the older parts of the Kasbah are in complete ruins, making it difficult to see properly. Walking through the crumbling passageways is like walking through a maze and some have gotten lost exploring the dilapidated Kasbah. Stop for lunch up the center of the Atlas Mountains. Drop off at your riad or hotel in Marrakech .
